Move between servers and channels, clear unreads, and mute or deafen fast — the Discord shortcuts worth knowing.
If you're in more than a couple of servers, Ctrl/⌘ + K — the quick switcher — is the shortcut that changes how Discord feels. Start typing a server, channel or person's name and jump straight there, no clicking through the sidebar. Combine it with the Alt/⌥ + ↑/↓ channel navigation and Escape to mark a channel read, and you can blow through a backlog of unreads in seconds.
For voice chat, the two shortcuts worth burning into muscle memory are toggle mute (Ctrl/⌘ + Shift + M) and toggle deafen (Ctrl/⌘ + Shift + D). Being able to mute instantly — without hunting for the button — is the difference between a clean call and everyone hearing your dog. All of these can be remapped under Keybinds if the defaults clash with a game or another app.
