Search, jump between sections, send messages and handle calls fast — the Microsoft Teams shortcuts that help.
Teams packs a lot into one window, so the navigation shortcuts pay off quickly. Search (⌘E / Ctrl+E) puts your cursor in the command bar, and the numbered shortcuts — ⌘1–6 / Ctrl+1–6 — jump straight to Activity, Chat, Teams, Calendar, Calls and Files. Learning those six numbers alone removes most of your clicking around the left rail.
In a conversation, Shift+Enter adds a line break (so you stop accidentally sending half-finished messages), while ⌘↵ / Ctrl+Enter sends when you've expanded the compose box. For calls, the accept, decline and toggle mute (⌘⇧M / Ctrl+Shift+M) shortcuts mirror the ones in other meeting apps, so the habits transfer. Tip: ⌘/Ctrl + . always shows the current list inside Teams. Pair with the Outlook shortcuts for the rest of the Microsoft 365 set.
