Lightroom Classic isn't available natively on Linux; the Linux column mirrors the Windows shortcuts for reference.

Learn the module keys first

Lightroom Classic is built around modules, and the single-letter jumps are the foundation — identical on Mac and Windows: G returns to the Library grid, E opens Loupe view, and D takes you straight to Develop. Because a normal edit means bouncing between culling in Library and adjusting in Develop, getting these into muscle memory turns a menu-hunting workflow into a continuous one.

Rate and flag as you cull

The fastest way through a shoot is a keyboard-only pass: P flags a photo as a pick, X rejects it, and U removes the flag. Press 15 for a star rating (0 clears it) and 69 for color labels. Use C for Compare view and N for Survey to narrow down similar frames without touching the mouse.

Work the Develop tools

In Develop, the tool row keys keep you moving: R crop, W white balance selector, Q spot removal, K adjustment brush, and M graduated filter. Press \ to toggle before and after, ⌘/Ctrl + Shift + C and V to copy and paste settings across photos, and ⌘/Ctrl + Shift + R to reset. Since many keys match across Adobe apps, the Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro cheatsheets will feel familiar too.
